Taste of Mira Mesa IV will be on Tuesday, March 31st 6:30 – 8:30 PM once again at Gen-Probe‘s beautiful courtyard. As of this date, a dozen restaurants have signed on to bring samples of their best food for our patrons, with several other local restaurants pending. The 13th annual “Meet of the Chefs of Del Mar” event promises to be an afternoon of exquisite food and wine from 15 of the finest restaurants in Del Mar. The event will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2009 at the Hilton Del Mar. “Meet the Chefs of Del Mar” benefits Casa de Amparo’s programs to prevent and treat child abuse in San Diego County. Corvette Diner

I like turkey burgers and shakes.  I like Ruby's Diner in Mission Valley, but what they don't have is servers in big wigs who have choreographed dances and a live DJ!  I went on Valentine's Day and that was a mistake.  The restaurant was packed with families and kids' birthday parties.  Our party of two had to wait 45 minutes for a table.  Larger parties were told up to 2 hours!

Mille Feuille

I think it was during the summer when I first noticed the sign for Mille Feuille.  I eagerly awaited their grand opening.  I was very interested in their Chocolate Buffet...  But, when they opened last year, I read a lot of negative comments (some about the attitude of their servers and some about the relatively small servings) and decided not to try them out.
