Highlights of the Chocolate Decadence Event at Pechanga - Temecula, CA
It's been a few months since our last foodie event, which happened to be a wonderful weekend of chocolate, food, wine and spirits at Pechanga Resort & Casino. We thought it would be nice to reminisce by sharing our photo highlights! Below is the Chocolate Decadence event. Make sure to check out the Wine Festival event as well!
Chocolate Decadence
This event featured more than 30 wine varietals that pair with chocolate and other sweet desserts. Included in admission was a souvenir wine glass, unlimited two ounce samples of wine and spirits, gourmet dessert samples from Pechanga’s acclaimed pastry chefs, live music and silent auction. This year's event was the 12th annual event and was held on Friday, March 6, 2020 from 7-10pm (general admission). Previous writeups of the festival are in 2018 and 2016.
We purchased this food and wine plate from the event a couple years ago and loaded it up with plenty of goodies. They sell similar plastic plates at the door, with the proceeds benefitting their charity partner.
Charity Partner: Habitat For Humanity
This event serves to help the local Habitat for Humanity (Inland Empire).
There's a silent auction that includes tons of celebrity, movie and pop culture memorabilia. There's also some humble items out in the hallway including homemade jewelry, home goods, etc that were donated for the fundraising.
I especially like these two items!
There was also a ticket raffle to win some wine swag and a staycation in wine country! $5 per ticket or 5 tickets for $20!
Visuals
Here's the snazzy stage for the entertainment. Can you guess what resort we are at?
There was a huge chocolate bar statue at one of the dessert stations.
This chocolate dress is so fancy! Wish I looked that good!
Giant lollipop, anyone? It's so neat how they have these chocolate creations for this event!
Asian inspired station included these cool fish ice sculptures!
The lighting for these large candy ice sculptures really pops!
Desserts
Stop by one of several dessert stations to get your sweet on!
Can you find anything sweeter than cotton candy?
So many treats to pick from! Our eyes were wide open the whole evening!
So pretty with the gold accents!
We filled our plates of course!
Build your own sunday with your choice of mix-ins at the ice cream station!
Who doesn't love a chocolate fountain? Strawberries and rice crispies were available to get dipped!
Hello craft chocolate! Some reps from ChocoMe selling their product.
Here is Color Cacao showing off their cocoa creations.
Alcohol
There were tons of booths and we were able to visit most of them, but will share a sampling of booze available below.
It's wine country so there were plenty of wine vendors. Pick your favorites or try something new! This is wine from Kendall-Jackson.
One of our favorite local wineries is Wilson Creek! Their Almond Champagne is so good! I like the lighting at this booth.
We found Powell and Mahoney bloody mary mix for at-home fun!
Our household likes tequila so we were happy to try some new ones such as Califino Tequila.
Rum is always fun, especially when it's colors of the rainbow! Fruity flavors from Blue Chair Rum were here for sampling!
Sometimes you want coffee with dessert. Here's some specialty coffee from Cafe Agave Cold Brew
There's also a serve-yourself coffee and tea bar available. Another station had water for standard hydration.
If this is your motto, then you definitely need to check out the Annual Wine Festival at Pechanga, which is held the day after Chocolate Decadence!
We enjoyed Chocolate Decadence and hope you feasted vicariously through our photo album. Of course, make sure to pick up tickets if you want to experience that fun for yourself! =)

I so know a friend who would love this event. He has the craziest sweet tooth! How do you pace yourself trying all these items? And not get the sugar-jitters after the fifth or sixth dessert :)
You went to some great events back in the day!
