Brodard (Nem Nuong) Restaurant

Hey, there! I've been busy with work and life, but I wanted to share some great things to eat!

Po & Pho

Hey, there! I've been busy with work and life, but I wanted to share some great things to eat!

Here's the short of it: Yes, there are plenty of great pho options in Mira Mesa...  here's another one.  I enjoyed the delicious broth in their Pho Ga (chicken), plus the service is good.

Fortunes

Harrah’s Rincon Casino has an Asian-themed restaurant called Fortunes. It’s decorated with bright red lanterns. It is very clean, but a little pricey for what they serve. Typically, a Vietnamese restaurant will serve a bowl of Pho for about $6, but at Fortunes, it’s double the price!

We ate here anyway, since we had already tried the other restaurants at the casino. We split a soup and an entrée.

Hot & Sour Soup ($4.99) – Good soup, but not very spicy.

Minh Ky Mi Gia

After I saw that DELICIOUS looking bowl of egg noodles from the other Minh Ky Mi Gia review, I have had a craving for noodles ever since. And I was finally satisfied with a visit on Saturday.

Phuong Trang

Phuong Trang has been in Convoy for as long as I can remember. I’ve been going there since I was a kid and always had a pleasant experience with my family. This time, Lynn’s mom was in town and so my mom wanted to bring her here to eat, at our family’s favorite restaurant (when I say family, I do not include myself because I have no favorite restaurant ^_^).

Pho Hoa

#27. Com Tam Bi Cha Thit Nuong w/ soup.

In my experience, the food at Pho Hoa are always delivered within minutes of their order. I don’t think I have ever waited for more than three minutes at the table. Sometimes when I order a bowl of Pho, they bring it out within one minute! Oh my.

Tan Ky Mi Gia

After having a business brunch with Hai, we decided to actually go and eat something somewhere else. We originally decided to goto the banh mi shop near Big Lots but changed our minds and ate at Tan Ky Mi Gia instead.

Much to my suprise, the noodle menu did not offer fried shrimp! I was very saddened…

Saigon

One of the places I love to eat in Eastside San Diego is Saigon on El Cajon Blvd. I’ve been to this restaurant with family and friends over the past few years and I’ve always walked out of here full, satisfied, and with a few bucks to spare in my wallet. whoo hoo!

Pho Kauai

Goi Cuon Tom Thit / Summer Rolls ($4) - With shrimp and pork. Served with a peanut dipping sauce. Dave says: The rolls were pretty standard. I normally don’t like it when they use shredded lettuce instead of sprouts, but it wasn’t bad. My only complaint was that some parts of the wrap were hard. I have a suspicion that the rolls are premade and when they sit around, the wrapping dries and hardens up, especially around the ends.
