We finally made it out to Taste of Downtown this year.  Many new restaurants have popped up since the last time we sampled in this area (2006, 2007p1/p2)!  The event was originally set for Septemeber 8 but due to a huge blackout, it was moved to September 29.  This year there were 49 restaurants on the list to visit between 5-9pm.

Dennis and I have been to this restaurant a few times but realized that we have never done our own review of the place!  In our experience, the food has always been more than satisfactory and it brings back romantic memories (our engagement last year started at dinner here).

San Diego's most prominent Taste returns to downtown for the tenth consecutive year. Participants will stroll through each corner of downtown San Diego and taste a wide variety of the best cuisine the city has to offer.

Taste of Gaslamp 2010

Your ticket is your passport to come down to the Gaslamp Quarter and sample menu specialties from more than 20 of our favorite locations per day. At "Will-call," you can pick up your walking maps, wristbands and an event survey. From there you can visit the locations that interest you in any order you choose. There are a few locations that are only open to patrons 21 and up but the event is suitable for everyone.  (Small children may not have the patience for the walking and waiting in line but if you feel comfortable you may bring them.)

Tickets: $30 each day
