Orange County

Brodard (Nem Nuong) Restaurant

Hey, there! I've been busy with work and life, but I wanted to share some great things to eat!

Pirate's Dinner Adventure

Looking for cheesy swashbuckling fun? Then look no further than Pirate's Dinner Adventure! There are two locations: Buena Park, CA (near Knott's Berry Farm) and Orlando, FL. Our group of 10 adults went last weekend for a birthday celebration. You can get into the spirit by dressing up or buying a few of their adult beverages.

Open Sesame

I visited my friend in Long Beach and we decided to eat locally. We parked near 2nd street, which was filled with different restaurants. Since I wanted to try something not so common and my friend had not been to this place since high school, we decided on Open Sesame, labeled as ‘Authentic Lebanese Cuisine’ by the restaurant.

Kaju Soft Tofu Restaurant

At first, the tofu soup was a bit strange, probably because I hardly eat tofu. But, the taste grew on me and I’d love to come back for more tofu soup next time I visit. Although, once again, I’m reminded that I’m not too big of a fan of seafood. I only picked at the seafood inside. I don’t really care for bbq ribs either because I’m too lazy to eat off the bone, but my company ordered it, saying it was the best meat on the menu. I did like the pork, which was not spicy despite the name. If I can’t taste the spicy, then there definitely is no spice on there, but that works for me!

Finbar's Italian Kitchen

Finbar's Italian Kitchen Linguine alla Romana

Linguine alla Romana (14.99) - chicken breast, pancetta, and artichoke sauteed then tossed in a light parmesan cream sauce with spinach linguine

118 Degrees

I’ve always been interested in trying out more foods that are meatless and this was a good place to explore! 118 is purely vegetarian, and online I read that they don’t even need to cook the food(?). It was relatively easy to find, in the plaza right off the corner of Baker and Bristol.

Skosh Monahan's Steakhouse & Irish Pub

We were shopping in Costa Mesa and decided to try Skosh Monahan's with an online coupon. Since we were in an Irish bar, we decided that we’d go along with the Irish Theme.

Royal Capital

This was sometime ago near the beginning of summer. Everyone was finished with the school semeter/quarter and we all decided to celebrate with some lobster! Hai has been to Royal Capital a couple of times before and tells us that he has actually driven there from San Diego just for lobster. So either this place is really good, or he is just too crazy.
