8th Annual San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival

Epicurean Classic Now In Its 8th Vintage

When classic cuisine, legendary wine, spirits and craft beer, and culinary all-stars hit the beach, you know it’s time for the return of the San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival. This November 16-20, celebrate the weeklong culinary classic that has become an iconic fixture in the food and wine landscape.

San Diego had its first Food Truck Festival at Del Mar on August 20 2011 from 12-6 and we just HAD to go! The non-food costs were $10 parking (unless you took the free shuttle) and $6 admission to the racetracks (or $3 if you sign up for the free Diamond Club membership for 18+). Once we got inside, we searched for signs of food trucks. And then we saw a sign...

Opera Cafe and Patisserie is a very popular restuarant with a very busy weekday lunch!  I'm sure a lot of its traffic comes from the Sorrento Valley tech companies nearby like Qualcomm!  I actually met for lunch with a friend who works at Qualcomm.

Come on out to Adams Avenue for the day and explore the many tastes of Adams Avenue. Sample entrées and desserts from over two dozen local restaurants along Normal Heignts, Kensington and North Park. Sponsored by the Adams Avenue Business Association.

Greetings all. It's been a while since I've actually posted something on this site. I haven't been exploring much of San Diego's fine restaurants as of late as I have been consumed by tireless efforts in my quest for the perfect BBQ. Ever since last year I've taken up grilling and very recently have been delving into smoking meats. Summer is just around the corner and so it's time to start experimenting again!

Lynn and I acquired some samples of Dove Chocolate products to try out over the weekend. What's different about these is that they aren't the normal chocolate products used for cooking confections or baked goods. They're made for BBQ! (O_o)

The 1st Annual Taste of Cardiff last year was highly successful in that we had over 800 people in attendance, everyone had a great time and is was wonderful to see everyone out and about in the community.  Many people rode their bikes to the event, so we will encourage this again as we like to keep Cardiff a bike-friendly community.  We will also have 3 live music groups stationed throughout the event.
