Dance Dance Resolution New Years Party - highlights
Ring in 2016 with Gogobot San Diego at their New Year's Party, "Dance Dance Resolution" at the beautiful Rancho Santa Fe Motor Club! All proceeds benefit The Seany Foundation to help bring hope and happiness to kids affected by cancer!
A friend and I attended Dance Dance Resolution (note the play on words from the popular DDR game) as media on Sunday January 31, 2016 through Delicious Buzz. The weather was all sorts of wacky that day, cold, wet and windy, but luckily the event was held indoors! Check out the highlights of the event below!
A $2 donation to the charity got you adorable pug kisses from Chloe, shown here with loving owner The Stylish Bisou!
Our foodie friend LateKateFoodie was totally down for this activity! We all laughed together, especially Kate and her ticklish nose!
Check out the gorgeous cars in the showroom.
Are you ready for this? We watched the epic battle between four dance teams. DJ Mane One played the jams and the audience picked the winner.
The competing teams were 4620 (DopeFX, ChunDeadly, Lotus), Latin Connection (Eddie Styles, GSparks, Nick Nyce), Specter Japan (Kosuke, Equity, Stow), and Specter Crew (Basic, Zero, Ken Masters). I loved them all but 4620 won the audience's heart and the prize money!
EraNetik organized, MC'ed the dance battle and showed us his own dance skills. DopeFX is here posing with some juice to hydrate before the battle. There was also hula hoop dancing from the ladies at Apothecary Spa
Beautiful henna art by Cresent Moon Designs. Getting back to my roots here!
Beer from Stone Brewing Co! I like the coffee milk stout. Media got two drink tickets each, which means my friend had plenty of beer that day haha!
In the media-only area, we also got to sample this Barcardi and Suja mix. Now that's how I roll!
Other drink samples included Zico Coconut Water, Illy Coffee, Java Monster, Solar Rain water, organic Suja Juice and Old Harbor Distillery Rum or Gin. You won't be thirsty or sleepy now!
There were also food samples like cantucci with dessert wine from Hands On Pasta.
Philly cheese steak from Philly Franks on the left and a WALNUT burger on the right!
We were hungry so we braved the winds for some tacos from Dos Bandidos food truck (available at an additional cost).
My friend told cashier to surprise us, and we were asked if we were adventurous... Escargo (top left) and Pork belly taco (right) was what we got. Foodie friends Soo and Maggie from HungryOnes got chicken (bottom left) and beef (bottom right).
My friend picked up three more tacos later and patiently waited until I got my pictures before diving in. All my friends must learn the way... =)
Dance Dance Resolution raised over $2k on Sunday. It was a great cause and a lot of fun for attendees, especially me. Apparently I totally geek out when it comes to dancers and had to get pictures with all the dance battle teams.
And... there's also a video. Maybe I'll share if enough people request it in the comments! =D
Disclaimer: I was provided media tickets for the event but all opinions are my own.

Thanks for the shoutout! :-) I went back to the taco truck later and had a pork taco. Great job documenting the dancing and the event! I was distracted by the cars and the hula hooping. :-)
the hula hoop dancing was cool. you missed my demo of dropping it a lot! how long did you stay and did you see the fire hoop dancing?
I had to leave at 4:30. Next time I'll make sure I can stay for the whole thing. Wish I had photos of your demo and the fire hoop dancing. Did you get any photos?
wow you left really early! i tried to take a picture of the fire hoops but too dark outside and it was sprinkling a tiny bit. :/
