Taste of Little Italy 2015 - Event Info
Little Italy is home to a few places we've visited in the past year, including Indigo Grill and Puerto La Boca, plus many more we've never tried so we're super excited to be able to check out our first "Taste of Little Italy" next week. An interesting tibit of information is that Little Italy used to be a part of "Taste of Downtown" back in the day, but we're glad that it is now its own event!
Official event information:
Little Italy’s foodie event of the summer is coming up, “Taste of Little Italy” on Wednesday, June 17 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm in Little Italy. The notable culinary hub is inviting visitors to stroll down the streets with their Taste Passport and experience the neighborhood’s one-of-a-kind eateries. Restaurants will open their doors for food lovers to enjoy a taste of one of their most popular dishes.
Some information about how the “Taste of Little Italy” works is below:
- The annual “Taste of Little Italy” provides each ticketholder with a Taste Passport mapping out a list of participating restaurants and their specific menu offerings.
- Participants walk an easy route to each restaurant and receive each eatery’s tasting in exchange for a stamp on their passport!
- There are three different passport routes for foodies to choose from – a south route, a north route and a combined route, each route features over a dozen different restaurants.
- Visitors can experience the best culinary hot spots all in one evening, while embracing the charm of Little Italy as the sun goes down—from twinkle lighted sidewalks and live music through the streets to strolling through this beautiful district and learning about the history of Little Italy from the neighborhood’s public art installations.
This year "Taste of Little Italy” has 39 restaurants participating—the most ever! For more information about the event and for a full list of participating restaurants please visit:http://www.littleitalysd.com/events/taste-of-little-italy/.
