Oh-So Yummy 10 Year Blogiversary and Giveaway

Oh-So Yummy recently hit a very big milestone of 10 years. Happy blogiversary (blog anniversary) to us! We've been fortunate to delight in delicious food and drink for the last decade! 

For example, this picture is from a recent food and beer pairing by Brewer / Chef Rey Knight from Finest Made Ales. Watermelon and tomato salad, homemade bratwurst, and braised pork belly goodness plus their brown ale was excellent! I love how we've been able to capture all these foodie memories through our blog and social media.

Now for some history! The site started as a community of friends and family sharing food experiences. Our first post Tent City was written by creators Dennis and Nguyen. I posted about Extraordinary Desserts a couple day after! Also neat is how we met Cathy from mmm-yoso at a blogger meetup way back in 2006! We even had the famous Candice Woo from Eater writing with us in the early days. Ahh the memories!

I'll share a few FAVORITE pictures and/or foods next.

I love love love this Pacific Blue Crab Cake from the Marine Room. Every component, especially that saffron broth, worked together and it's a steal at $10 during happy hour!

Dennis's favorite place is Bracero Cocina de Raiz which has food too gorgeous to eat. But who are we kidding... we dove in as soon as the pictures were taken!

After three visits, we tried the majority of the menu at Grand Ole BBQ y Asada. That's the most we've ever spent at ONE restaurant in a short period of time but this place is one of our top BBQ places!

For more ethnic cuisine, I dream about Kafe Sobaka Restoran Pomegranate. I was so enthralled with their cabbage rolls that I even tried making it at home, though it never reached the same level!

I pretty much drool when I look at this dessert from Pacifica Del Mar. Chocolate shell and ice cream just can't be beat in my mind.

I love the pops of color (pun intended) of these Viva Pops (from Taste of Adams Avenue).

So what's the craziest thing we've done as food bloggers? Is it when I waited 3 hours to get drinks and desserts from 85C Bakery's grand opening?

Some might say it's our determination when it comes to TASTE events. Our first event was Taste of Downtown in 2006 where we sampled 21 of 53 locations. Over the years, we've only getting better (and fatter) with each and every one! Sometimes we HIT THEM ALL. Hillcrest and Tacotopia are the most recent conquests! Oh the insanity of it all!

The paella craving is strong when I see this picture from Cafe Sevilla at Latin Food Fest.

Do you suddenly want to go take pictures next to the St Regis Jazz sign like I do?

Flashbang is one of the coolest tequila designs I've seen over the years. It's also 100 proof! This shot was taken when Taste of Old Town used to be called Tequila Trail!

I still prefer a drink with some sweetness to it like this Strawberry Basil Lemonade cocktail from Sbicca. Plus it won't knock me out as fast!

And, because I can, I'm throwing in a picture of homemade bacon and bean pie. As much as I love eating out, some days, I'm inclined to make my own creations in the comfort of my home!
